New Band Worth a Look - The Temperance Movement

If you have spotify, or one of the other free streaming apps, check out The Temperance Movement. If you don't have spotify, you should download free version of it too.

This is solid blues/rock/southern rock band that I just heard about that has actually been around a couple years, but just hit it sort of big by being "discovered" by Mick Jagger and the Stones. Apparently he saw the band play, and he emailed them out of the blue to open for the Rolling Stones on some big dates in Europe. How crazy is that?

The guys in the group are actually from the UK, Scotland I think, but their sound is 100% American. Honestly, I heard them interviewed and sing live on the local radio station, and their accents are so heavy I had trouble understanding them. But, when they sing, I swear it sounds like they are a southern rock band. It's remarkable. Had I not heard them interviewed and went by the music, I would have sworn they were Amercian.

Anyway, if you like CCR, The Black Crows, the Stones, etc. check them out. They are good.

For sure. Just listened to Take It Back. Not exactly what I normally listen to, but pretty rockin' good pub music all the same!

Check out some of the other songs, take it back is a bit different and more modern than the rest.
