I haven't written a review lately and tonight I found a really good cigar at a good value. Thought that I'd share it with you.
I picked up one of these to try when at my local shop buying the CAO Criollo's. This is an excellent cigar! The size I got was the 7 1/4 x 54 "Escudaro", box pressed. The double maduro has a maduro wrapper and a maduro binder and is aged 4 years. Outstanding construction, clipped perfectly, moderate amount of smoke. Wonderful heavy medium body, with rich texture. Has a nutty cocoa flavor that reminds me of the La Perla Habana Black Pearls. Smooth as silk for the first 2/3 and picks up a little spice toward the finish, not harsh at all. With the price under $4 each, I'll be keeping a few of these in my humidor all the time. After this first one, they'll be in my regular rotation. Highly recommended.
