Smoked my first one last night. Wow!! :0 This was by far the strongest cigar I've ever smoked! Prelight draw was medium to firm. I lit the cigar and within a few puffs, my throat was dry and raw. So I brewed a cup of coffee, which seemed to not only soothe my throat, but complement the flavor as well. I noticed a robust cedar taste and smell to this cigar, with a bit of sweetness. The burn was uneven for the first inch and a half or so, and the cigar went out on me at one point. After relighting, the burn stayed even until I was done. Unfortunately, I was done at the halfway point of this sucker. That's when a healthy buzz turned into queasiness. :0
If you're going to smoke one of these, you better have a very full stomach. My light dinner, combined with my relative newness to strong cigars, made this experience only enjoyable for a while. However, I think strong cigar smokers will find the El Rico Habano series a treat. :0
