Tuff Darts
I'd rather slash my wrists Or cut my throat Than have to spend the night with you Your fantasies are the pits You must be one sick bitch To want to do what you say you do

This, of course, was a punkabilly band (Robert Gordon was the original singer), so it makes it even weirder.

Thanks Jeff.
I was never a big fan of the Tuff Darts but I would listen to them occasionally back in high school. I have never heard anyone mention them in 20+ years, so I chuckled when I read the topic title. I seem to remember them playing with X-Ray Specs and Modern Lovers at Gildersleeves (SP?) in NYC. |

The strings are like razors
They cut into my hands and my volume is dangerously low Can't seem to maintan my usual sustain and one of speakers is blown I love to let go as my guitar starts to glow In flashes of red that squeeze out and they spread My guitar lies bleeding in my arms bleeding in my arms The knobs seem alive yeah, they move by themselves the strings have a will of their own The notes that appear are so strange to my ear It's no longer under my control
