$11 for empty wood boxes
just asked my local cigar shop about the pile of empty boxes they had in the corner. Wanted $5 for paper and $11 for wood. Said they get charged for them. Thanks but no thanks and you just lost a customer.

The owner of the shop where I go charges me 50 cent for cardboards and 1.00 each for the wooden ones. But, he tosses in some free ones as well.

Crap! And I just gave away over 50 empty cigar boxes to the kindergarten teacher at my kid's school. There went $500.
Mrs. Blanco's students make Mother's Day gifts from them (glue dry pasta to them and spray paint them gold).

I usually don't ask for much, but my local B&M usually just gives me what i need without charge. If i asked for say 5-10 boxes it might be diff. but i'm sure that it wouldn't be much.
That place your going to just SDD's!

Most stores around here charge for boxes, however they often give them to customers for free as well. If you get a few when you buy.........$11 is OUTRAGEOUS!!!!

Our policy at the shop is the paper-covered boxes are free and wooden boxes are a $1.00. If you buy the last of the cigars in a box, you can have the box.
