Gee, I hope I spelled that right...
Anyway, two (or more) artists who were already successful on their own putting together a one-shot collaboration disc. Not "supergroups." Example, my all-time fave, "Prairie Home Invasion" by Mojo Nixon and Jello Biafra. The wit on this disc just knocks me out every time I listen to it. "Well, there was me, that is, Alex, and my three droogs, that is Pete, Georgie and Dim, and we were sitting in the Korova Milk Bar trying to make up our razoodocks about what to do with the evening."

"The Vaughan Brothers". Stevie and Jimmie. Very nice disk. Some songs have a blues feel and some have more of a country feel.
"SRV and Albert King Live." Good to listen to the young and the old meeting up. "BBM". Jack Bruce, Ginger Baker, and Gary Moore. My favorite christmas song is a duo of Bing Crosby and David Bowie.

Hendrix wins, best choice, THE best rock album there ever was or ever will be. The best Clapton has played and ever will play. The only EC that is worth having. No contest
lock this thread Layla and other Assorted Love Songs is THE winner. Thanks for playing. SRV & Albert NOPE Albert would wipe the floor with the student. SRV & Jimmie, Nile Rogers produced fluff BB King and EC see Albert & SRV Duane & EC stood toe-to-toe one pushing the other. Duane pushed EC to a realm he has never been to and never will get back to. THE BEST

mannish, your field of vision is too narrow. There's way too much good music out there to lock this down just because the Clapton/Allman disc was, and still is, awesome.
Besides, I'm still holding out for KISS/GWAR. "Well, there was me, that is, Alex, and my three droogs, that is Pete, Georgie and Dim, and we were sitting in the Korova Milk Bar trying to make up our razoodocks about what to do with the evening."

Nope not narrow at all. You asked what was best and Layla was the best.
Course I was only picking about the others although we know ALbert and BB were the teachers

One of my favorites has always been Ian hunter and Mick Ronson on Ian Hunter's fist "Solo" album after leaving Mott the Hoople.

Here's a strange little piece of fun fluff-Chet Atkins and Mark Knopfler. It could have been much better, but it wasn't total shit either.
If you're in the romantic mood, that late 80's album with Linda Ronstadt and Aaron Neville will sweep her off of her feet. Who tagged BigO's wiener?
