Smoked my first My Father
Very bland, uneven burn, kept going out. Ditched it at about 60%. I don’t see what all the fuss is about.

Which one did you smoke? did you buy it and smoke it the same day? the My Father Le Bijou and My Father Connecticut are two really fine smokes, IMHO.

I have had a few of them, I don't see what the big deal is either. But then I say that about most new-ish cigars on the market...very few have gotten my attention as being a special product.

I've had many excellent My Father products. I can only imagine you got a clunker. Hell, I even like the behemoth, The Judge. I mean it's not like it's an Opus X or anything.
Cheers!

The 1922 Bijou was the one that CA gave cigar of the year a couple of years ago. Have not had one myself, but I was never that impressed with the original line.
