Bolivar Gold Medal
Box code: FEB08 (factory unknown but I believe they are all rolled in the same factory)
Enjoyed this cigar in the evening at an outdoor patio. Wrapper: Medium tan, thin veins, silky feel and appearance, perfect cap. 5/5 Construction: Had a firm feel, even burn, firm light gray ash, perfect draw allowing generous amounts of smoke to fill the palate. Had a tendency to go out requiring a few restarts, but overall really good construction. 4/5 Flavor: This cigar is surprisingly complex and approachable since it is a very young cigar (FEB08). It is earthy, with hints of sweet spices and leather, and slightly woodsy on the finish. It is dense and rich in the palate, and has a long finish. This cigar is special, and will satisfy habanos connoisseurs of every stripe. 9/10 Final Thoughts: I am surprised by how awesome this cigar smoked because it is so young. My conclusion is they used well aged cream of the crop tobaccos for this cigar. Ready to smoke out of the box. Final Score: 18/20 HIGHLY RECOMMEND
