An espresso machine and a good grinder
Okay folks, I'm looking for a good espresso machine in the lower end of the price range. Considering either the SL-90 or the Rancilio Silvia. Me? I still use my french press, but my wifey hates the "sludge". I am tired of hearing my coffee is more like an oil slick.
 And now, a couple weeks ago she went to starbucks. She thinks their White Chocolate Mocha is the bomb. I know I can do better.  So what do the true coffee geeks recommend? Ted? Curmudgeon? Others? Also as far as the grinder, it seems Rocky is the way to go after searching this forum, but I'm open to other suggestions.
