Excellent! A tip on using the rewired Poppery: Use short (5-10 second) pauses in the temp. You don't want to stall the roast, just slow its progress for a bit. That said, if it works, it's all good!

Did you shut down the roast before you got to second crack? Rest time?

Yes. No where near second crack, very lighr roast. I let them spin on cool for about 30-40 seconds

You ought to let them spin on cool until they're at ambient temperature...that's one of the whole points of doing the rewire.

I have used the OP for about 6 years. In the summer I cut down on the amount of beans. Weigh them before you start to get a guidline and then adjust according to ambient temps. Too many beans and that sucker will heat up fast!
I cut of the heat for about 10 seconds right after 1st crack, too.
