So im still struggling with my new humi, my 2 analog hygros say 74% nd my new digital hygro says 72% (digi has been salt tested, it is 1% off) ive tried putting my 65% beads in and all that did was make it shoot up to about 80% which i really dont want....so i left the lid open all day today and now its about 71%...any ideas?

Your beads are still saturated.

I know you tried to dry them. They aren't there yet. |

How did you test your hygrometer? If it has been a while since you calibrated your hygro have you replaced the batteries lately? When batteries start to die the hygro will give some really inaccurate readings.

7 1/2 hours is not long enough. Give it at least 24 hours to sit then you will have a more accurate reading and know how many points the hygro is off if any.

How full is your humidor?
They hold their RH better when 2/3 full. When running your salt test, let it stay in there at least over night. I always did mine 24 hours. And, DO NOT use the salt test on the digital hygrometer! Salt water is not good for electronics!!
