Coolerdor humidity problems

I have both a el rey glasstop humidor, and for my overstock a 48-50 quart coolerdor. I was using just a inexpensive humidfier with very little water, and the reading was always 70+. Since I prefer the 65% better, I bought a lb of clima beads 65%. I used half of them in a open container, and was still getting almost the same reading. I used what was suggested somewhere around 15mm of water. So recently I added almost the rest of the beads with no added water, and its been about a week, and still the same reading around 70%. The coolerdor is smack full of cigars! Anyone else had this problem?
