I'm in the "Do NOT wet the beads" camp.

I saved my homemade oasis foam/PG+distilled water credos.

I charge them with solution or distilled water and place them in the cooler next to the beads (in pantyhose).

When the RH% stabilizes where I want it, I take the credos out.

I didn't pay good money for those beads to have them fracture into little pieces, even if it doesn't affect their function.
