I've listened to this CD in passing 2-3 times and felt it was Springsteen's best stuff since Nebraska. After listening to it very closely this morning I have to say I was very wrong.

This is Springsteen's best work, ever.

Maybe it's because he's matured, naybe the place he's in or the places he's looking back at are akin to mine, but these songs talk to me. And there is a rawness and edge to most of these musically that is what Springsteen has always done best - rootsy, straight ahead, garage band rock with lyrics that make you think.

That's my 3 cents.
