Okay, so which model do you have? Is it wide, cigar flame? Do you know how to adjust the flame height?

Also, I'm not familiar with using the adapter. How does it work? How do you disconnect the butane bottle from the adapter and the adapter from the lighter before all the butane rushes out?

If it is a real dupont and I'm not saying it isn't I would just send it in and pay the money. Small investment for a lighter that expensive.

If so, you can't use Vector or Lava unless you acquire an adapter. I definitely wouldn't take it apart like stated in Rocket15's thread.

My recommendation would be to get one of the proprietary fuel bottles in the right color. Color is dependant on the model lighter you have. Charge the lighter fully. If the lighter still doesn't light, send it in for service.
Frank, my friend, thanks again for the Ligne you gifted me several years ago.
You can have your local shop order you a 10-pack of the duPont refills for about $50. I highly recommend it. I do this and get flints at the same time. I also replace the flint every time before I charge the empty lighter. I don't use the lighter exclusively, because I'm often out in the wind, but I still have one charge left from my order 2 years ago.
