Frequent Business Fliers - Best Disposable Lighters?
ronin's post on JSBond's 'Best Lighters' thread started the wheels turning.....
I have to occasionally travel for business and do not want to chance having any of my regular soft flame lighters confiscated at the airport. Disposable soft flame lighters seem to fit the bill. The best one I have found, so far, is the Scripto Electronic - http://www.scriptousa.com/ciglighters.html - slim, reliable and easy to defeat the 'child safety lock'..... $.79 at Wal-Mart..... What say you, fellow cigar loving travelers.....?

Good pricing. Will have to give it a try this week.

I travel with briar pipes so I use a soft flame pipe lighter that works just as well for cigars. They run about $6 - $10. (http://www.smokingpipes.com/accessor...roduct_ID=5909). Haven't had a problem so far, but I don't travel more than 3 times a year if I can help it...

Scriptos are very good. I usually carry a Bic mini when I fly and, even when I'm not flying, as a back-up in case my regular lighter runs out of fuel. I choose the mini just 'cause of the size.

I've always like the DJEEP disposable lighters.
Lots of room for your thumb, good for when you have to keep it lit continuously to light up a larger RG cigar http://www.iwanries.com/DJeep_P6862.cfm |
