When my playing partners yelled that on a 389 yard hole, I about crapped myself. I had lost sight of the ball as soon as I hit it.

Just got back from a work-sponsored golf tournament, a four man scramble (best shot).

I ended up hitting 2 drives to 350yds (my career long), one at 330 (on a par 4, 342 yard hole), and a clutch drive to 315 on a 495 yard par 5 after all my playing partners hit poorly. My drives led to 3 birdies (we passed on one of the 350s, since we would have had to shoot out of a ditch adjacent to the green), but I had people in other fairways making comments as we drove up to the balls.

And I stuck a wedge from 107yds to 9 feet that led to a fourth birdie. This was actually the shot that pleased me most.

It was a damn good day.
