Humidity in the winter...

I have a larger 150ct. humi and a smaller 75 ct. in my office. Up until a few weeks ago, they were holding the humidity fairly well. These days I think I have to wet my beads every other day because they dry out so quickly. I never really seasoned either humi but they seemed to work just fine. Is there something going on because of season that might be contributing to this? Or is there something else...in my office, the temp is a constant 70% all year round....thanks for any help.

Fine, twist my arm, I'll smoke a cigar.
