Haier with high humidity
Set my Haier HVA052ALL-8S Afficiano Series wine cooler yesterday.
I have 2 pounds of beads(dry) spread around on the racks. Also i have the humidity vent closed. I have also two fans on the bottom rack. towards the front door. My temps are great 62 to 65 from bottom up. The only thing is my humidity is hi bottom self is 81 -middle is 75 and top is 72 . Will the humidity adjust in a couple of days? If anyone has had the same problem and corrected it please let me know

How do you have the fans facing?
The idea is to get the air flowing like in a circle... from the bottom front, to the bottom back, to the top back, to the top front and down... or something similar... Also, how long are you running the fans? Mine are running all the day light hours.. Also, what are you using for humidification? For the least amount of work, get the beads and and split them up between the different shelves. Most people would suggest the 65% versions. Cheers!

I have put the fans in the back bottom shelf blowing the air up.
Also i have 2 pounds of beads (65) spaced around on the racks. The fans run all the time.

Have you got another humidity device, besides the beads, in there? Maybe you should consider calibrating the hygrometer...Those beads will do a pretty good job of mopping up excess humidity, provided they're not saturated with water already...

A 3 degree difference from top to bottom is too much IMO if you have fans in there. Either the fans are not optimally positioned or they are too small for that unit.
Also check the beads to see if they are an opaque white color or clear. If they are all mostly clear, that means they saturated with moisture and need to be dried out with a hair dryer so they can absorb excess the moisture in your humidor. |
