Serious Cigars Closing Web Outlet
Serious Cigars is Closing their web store
"Liquidation Sale" happening now. Serious started out as a mighty fine retailer in the greater Houston area. When CW was in danger of closing its doors 22 years ago, owner of Serious, Ron Lessereaux offered CWers an internet home on his own forums. Luckily the Wednesday Afternoon Cigar and Strategies Group purchased CW from founder Dan Bienkowski. In the intervening years, his business grew and was eventually bought out by much larger tobacco concerns. I am kind of sorry to see them go, although to be honest, I never did a whole lot of business with them.

Who owned them? I've kind of forgotten how they are all linked, but most of big cigar houses have several websites. JR has cigar.com and CI has cigars.com and several others.

Tony, I WANT to say either Santa Clara or JR, but please, don't hold me to it.

Yes, Ron L. was a very good cigar guy and a very savvy businessman. Threw an awesome customer appreciation party every January for many years. A bunch of years ago (forgot just how many) he agreed to sit down with me for a CW interview and we had an enjoyable hour discussing cigars and his business.

MD cigars, Robert. I believe Mike is no longer with us.
I found his house brand, Dea, to be a fine, tasty cigar.
