Padron Naturals vs Maduros for the thousands series?
My vendor i was already ordering from on Monday has the Padron 4000 Natural and 7000 Maduro in stock. Which would you go with, ignoring length and rg difference? I friggin love cigars |

Depends on what you typically prefer. I preferred maduros for the longest time but now prefer lighter wrappers.

I've always been a sucker for Maduros, but sometimes they leave me thinking I should have gone with the Natural.
I know this line is pretty popular, so figured some members could tell me if they prefer the Natural over the Maduro, especially since i dont really see the Maduros getting mentioned I friggin love cigars |

Someone on the other forum I follow who i trust, said the Padrons are all the same, they just put the darker wrapper ones in a Maduro box. He did say that they do taste different, just not true Maduros. Found that very interesting and wonder what other makers do the same, at least with certain lines

Guess I'm being ignored. One of the good things about this forum is talking about the shops we buy from so we are all informed of where the deals are.

Padron uses the term Maduro to describe the color of the wrapper. That does not mean it's not a true Maduro because it wasn't specifically processed to be a dark wrapper. Habanos shops use the term to describe wrapper color as well. Excellent article about wrappers here:

I did not know that they weren’t true maduros. Never really thought about it. Both are excellent choices IMHO.
