LENNONYC
Anyone see American Masters LENNONYC? It originally aired last year, but I saw it for the first time tonight. I thought the production was well done. I continue to be moved more than 30 years after by Lennon's senseless murder.

Didn't see it. I think that the lennon/beatles story has always been one of the most bizarro stories in history. I honestly can't remember a show business assassination prior to that, but obviously, stalking and murder have become almost the norm now in the business.
I can't help but lump this guy in with Hinkley and reagan. I know, they both had different stories, but they were both psychotic, and both acted outside of normal motivations, and attacked world class superstars. They were both psychotic. All things considered, it was a tragic and senseless end to an eponymous career, and it changed the world. |
