Cedar Lining between layers of stogies?

OK, I have a regular 50 count desktop, which came with no trays. I also have a 2 gallon tupperdor which has no trays [obviously].

I also have access to lots and lots of those thin cedar sheets which come in cigar boxes.

Is it a good idea to take the cedar and "layer" my cigars, with the cedar in between? Will this help spread out the humidity, given that the cedar will create some space between sticks?

Are there any other benefits, or negatives to the cedar layers?
