The mason jars are air tight, so the outside humidity (hi or low) will not affect the tobacco inside the jar. The climate inside the jars are fixed once the jars are closed tight. Same with tins of tobacco. The tins are air tight and outside humidity does not affect the tobacco inside the tins.
