People have used similar coolers. I would think it would be too cold for cigars. Wine coolers work because wine is stored at almost the same temperatures as cigars should be optimally stored in. As such you may need to get an external thermostat to keep it at a warm enough temperature.

is the only reason you're looking in to buying this is because of the cooling factor?
Just wondering. I have to "regular" coolers and if you want to cool them down just put a tray across the lip of the cooler and whamo - the sticks are cool (just make sure you aren't using actual ice - or anything that make create a ton of moisture)

I have one that we use for trips and there is no way to control the temperature. Too cold for cigars.

ah..thanks for the info. I think the description said the cooler could cool down to 40 deg so I figured it might be adjustable.

Just put the cigars in their boxes in the wine cooler...
I also have an external thermostat with a remote sensor in my wine cooler. My home office is about 90F right now... For more info, search this forum for "Magic Chef" to find my (and others ) posts about our experiences. Good luck cheers, Rudy
