BENITEZ WALKS ALONE OUT OF LIVERPOOL...

Rafa da gaffa is gonzo. 4 million pound payout and, presumably, on his way to Internazionale.

If I were a buffoonishly foul-mouthed, uneducated, unemployed, workaphobic, syphilitic, dole grubbing, soap hiding, backstabbing, swindling dumpster gourmet, as most Liverpool supporters are, I would be ecstatic. If it weren't for Liverpool's unbelievably lucky Champions League final miracle in '04, which is indelibly burned in every feeble Liverpool supporter's mind - and was effectively achieved with Gerard Houllier's squad, he would be LONG GONE. His last achievement, the FA Cup in '06, was equally lucky as they scraped past West Ham United on penalties (note to Tommy Guns: Zamora and Konchesky missed their penalties in that match). So, in summary, he's done nothing except spend extraordinary amounts of cash on an increasingly unbalanced squad with no results. God, I loved that guy.

Liverpool may have reason for optimism now.

I'm gutted.
