RIP BB King

B.B. King, the legendary blues singer, songwriter, and guitarist, died Thursday in Las Vegas, his attorney said. King was 89 years old

Well put!

Another legend has passed. I had a chance to see him about a year and a half ago but couldn't make it.

Another great talent passes. So very sad.

I got to see Howlin' Wolf and Warren Zevon before they passed, but I never got to see King.

RIP

I had the pleasure and honor of seeing B.B. King play at least 6 times - he was a TRUE showman and travelled with a complete band and 6piece brass section. He had slowed down considerably the last time I saw him, probably 5yrs back and after that cut his touring schedule WAY down and had not been in Des Moines since.

Its a sad day here, but another blues legend joins the band in heaven....

I got to see him play at a small venue on the Virginia Tech campus more than 30 years ago. My memories of that performance are as sharp as if it had been yesterday.

Such a loss. Such a legacy.

Rest in peace, Mr. King. Lucille sings on the wind...

One of my very favourite blues tunes of all time... B.B. King's style was inimitable and inspiring.

He was born in Indianola, MS...about 25 miles west of where I live. There is a BB King Museum there now. He was there for the opening. By all accounts, he was still humble and grateful for his opportunities.
