Second, the thing I like the most about the lighter is it is truly wind proof. I really like it outside in Chicago since the wind is intense. Come spring and summer the wind drops, and I don't feel quite the pressure to get lit before my fingers turn blue.

Hope that addresses your questions/concerns.
Thanks for the update/clarification. I am curious though. Would you say that a regular butane lighter lights the cigar better? I certainly understand that the Agnite would work better in the wind and cold, but why not continue to use it? Maybe the wear and tear issue is the reason.

it is personal preference, old age, bad habits, the lighter not working, having 50 butane lighters, and not thinking about it when it is warmer outside.

it is an expensive lighter, I like it, I will get it repaired, and I will use when I travel and carry cigars (don't carry them on short trips sicne finding a place to smoke when you are hurrying is a pain) and when it is very much winter.

this is not a lighter for everyone... price point... etc... I would not recommend it universally just on that.

I wish I had the time. I'm putting in 10-12 hours a day at work. Sorry, I like CW a bunch but the time to write is not there at this place in my life.
