Orioles vs. Nationals

I am watching my first game of the year on T.V.! The O’s are winning 2 – 0 in the top of the 6th.

Sosa has already been thrown out of the game.

Not to defend Sammy for getting tossed in a spring training game, BUT, the umpire was C.B. Bucknor, the 2B umpire.

I am no fan of Bucknor. Every game I have ever seen when he is working, whether behind the plate or on the bases, someone will have a beef with him. It could be a player or a coach or a manager. Sometimes BOTH teams will have an argument with him. I don't have statistics, but it seems like someone gets tossed every game he works.

It is kind of like someone who has been divorced and married five or six times.
Eventually, they would have to think, " You know, maybe it IS me!"

Never noticed before, I'll have to watch.

There's another thing; Sevenmag wrote an article about the death of characters in football. What about announcers? You will NEVER hear a guy calling a game saying the "C. B. Bucknor runs somebody almost everytime he works a game........" Oh, no. We hear how hard they try, how they want to get it right, blah, blah, blah.....the league will come down on anyone criticising the officials. And you can plainly see when a guy is combative.

Bucknor is not the only combative umpire in MLB, but is probably the worst.

Not really a great "Balls and Strikes" guy behind the plate, either.
