Well, that's the only explanation I can come up with. The humidor is one of the Sam's Club IDC humis with the "millenium" logo on top. I've had good luck with but recently it doesn't want to seem to get up to the proper humidity (65% for my tastes).
I opened it last night and the digital hygro read 52%. I had had a small bowl of Cracked Ice in there so the humidity should have been higher. I figured my hygro was off so I pulled it out. As soon as I took it out of the humi, the reading on the hygro started going up! This is in my basement where it's relatively dry. I popped the hygro into my Vicksburg with calibrate pen hygro and this moring they read within 1 point of each other. Very strange.... Official Cigar Weekly Coffee Whackjob |
