Nicarao Classico and Especial

I just saw that I haven't logged in since July 29, 2012. Whew! Time flies after you hit the 70 year mark. After purchasing several samples of English/Balkan pipe tobacco blends at http://www.pipesandcigars.com
I keyed "sale" into pipesandcigars search engine and filtered to cigars. I've been buying the Nicarao Classico Piramid on CBid and relishing the fact that I could occasionally get a 5-pack for $20.00. Locally, when they can be found, they're well beyond what I can afford ($16.00 to $20.00 per cigar) My eyes bugged out when I saw

Couldn't be??????? 5-pack=$42.50, BOX of 20=$39.61, less than $2.00 each. I ordered three boxes, waiting for the bad news---oops, mistake. Instead, the three boxes arrived.
I also occasionally bid on the Especial, usually getting the Hermoso, cuban corona.
So, I looked to see if the Especial was on sale. Oh my...my poor budget!

Only the 5 x 56 was in stock, but for $39.15 a box. One box was enough.
Over the decades, I've gone through a few iterations of Nicarao. It seems to be a marca that is often deceased, then brought to life by another manufacturer. To my best recollection, I purchased and smoked those made by Pedro Martin, then by whomever Rocky Patel contracted for production, and now, these by Abdel Fernandez for marca owner, Didier Houvenaghel.
I really like the Classico and Especial, both relatively medium strength. The Exclusivo, I've found to be far too strong for my taste.
