Here is my 2 cents.
The tobaccos in cigars age and mingle together over time. As they do so they release ammonia. It's quite possible that the cigars in question had a slight 'urine' aroma, maybe even unnoticeable, because the tobacco was young/under aged and it seemed bitter.

Ah yes...the sick period. Can turn a promising cigar into a dog rocket in a hurry.

Yeah, its all I can think of.

Others from the same boxes and container have been fine. Guess it was just bad luck I grabbed 2 sick ones in the same day.

Really sucked, and very disappointing when you are expecting a tasty smoke

If a cuban I bought smokes great a month after I got it, I'll smoke more. If there is any hint of it being off its in jail for 6 months.
