Question about gifting cigars to inexperienced smokers...
Ok guys I have a question and might need some suggestions. I have a good friend that requested that I hook him up with a fiver for a trip that he's planning. He says that he will likely share them between 4-5 folks. They're all pretty inexperienced cigar smokers, I believe. Any recommendations? I was thinking some 8-9-8's or something of the sort. If I gave them any that are in my usual rotation, I'm pretty sure that they'll end up barfing.

Plenty of flavor, but not full or nicotine heavy. The 8-9-8's should be right in there for being flavorful but no strong on taste or nicotine. Sent from my SM-T820 using Tapatalk |

Partagas 898s?
Very generous! I must admit, I love sharing a good cigar with someone that really enjoys it, but I would not part with CCs to an inexperienced smoker.

Macanudo or Punch would be my suggestion. I consider them "training" smokes. Not too expensive and mild, but flavorful.

My bad. I always associate 898s with Cuban Partagas.

Don't overspend on these guys, I hate to say it.
Good suggestions have already been given, base blend H. Upmann, Leon Jimenes, Fuente 858 or Cuban corona, New World Connecticut. Sent from my SM-G781U using Tapatalk
