Skins RIP

So, now that my beloved Burgundy and Gold Skins are no more that chapter of my life is closed. Gone. Done. Over. Sad. I’m am surprisingly sad about it today. All the memories, the Hail to the Redskins song after a touchdown against the Cowboys, watching the games with Gpa, the texting my Cowboy friends HTTR after a Skins victory, the Superbowls, the soul crushing losses, the qb controversies, the horrible owner, the Jack Kent Cook years, Coach Gibbs, tailgating at games, the smack talk all of it. Gone.

So, It comes down to choosing a new team. My thoughts are:

The Bengals: Cause that’s where my oldest daughter and Lil Man lives. But don’t want to choose them then in a few years they move out of the state.

The Panthers: obvious reasons (born and raised in NC) but I HATE Cam Newton. Not sure how much longer he will be there. When i lived in NC there wasn't an NFL team.

The Bills: I’ve like the games I’ve watched of them. Mom says it’s to cold in Buffalo can’t pull for them!

The Saints: Mom suggested them. I don’t hate the idea.

My only reservation is yes I can pull for one of these other teams but my hearts not in it, yet. The skins will always be in my heart. I don’t want to pick another team only to return to the Commanders a few years later.

Politically correct bullshit.

My recommendation - Da' Bears.

I would suggest the Saints, but I am biased and they may suck again with Payton leaving.

I figure he'll do broadcasting for the rest of his contract and when Jerry gets sick of McCarthy being unable to win the big games will hire him to the Cowboys (IMO, that's a big mistake until Jerry passes on).

How about the Chiefs? It's in keeping with the Indigenous American motif.
I fear, though, that they have crested with 4 straight conference championships, two Super Bowls (winning one). They do have possibly the best when it comes to ownership with the Hunt family.

Yep. So vanilla and uninspiring. Sounds like a Little League team name. And, wait for the Command Center, Going Comando, Commander in Chief, inability to Command, all the Commie references, Lt Commander etc etc.

...and the logo is beyond lame. I didn't see the big reveal this morning in New York (don't get me started why the hell it was done in New York!). But, after 19 months of planning the reveal I heard was so uninspiring and seemed an afterthought was equally lame.
