Bo Nordh Magnum

Considering this purchase. Would love opinions! I’ve never seen another Bo magnum before.

It’s a pretty cool looking pipe. I’m not a fan of the bamboo shank but the bowl has a nice finish.

For the $1000s of dollars his pipes go for, I would want a much better looking piece of Briar. Not that it's not a good looking pipe, just nothing special, at least as pictured. IMHO of course. If you like it, doesn't matter what anyone else thinks.

I actually agree and am passing on it. The kind of example I want will cost more, but such is life.

$1,000 or more? Ouch. I would not buy a pipe that was in that price league. I would never smoke it. Just look at it.

I buy certain pipes because they are art… others I buy to smoke. I recently bought a Tokutomi and a Gotoh that I’m unlikely to smoke.

His pipes go for thousands of dollars. Some, if you can find them, 5 figures.

Much Thanks!! I think they are beautiful pieces and the ultra high grade pipes aren’t a bad investment, although this isn’t a good reason to buy. I get joy from hunting down pipes I want and from displaying them, no different from buying a painting from a great master.
I can’t afford a painting by a master, but I can buy a pipe from amongst the greatest carvers alive or not.
