Dual Review: Macanudo 1968 Robusto with Mississippi Rifleman

Hey everyone, this is Mississippi Rifleman. I'm here at the firehouse with lastminute, and we are going to do a dual review of the of the Macanudo 1968 robusto.

Apperance: It's a toothy cigar, but it's not very veiny. The cap of the cigar is a little rough. No soft spots on the cigar.

Prelight Draw: VERY heavy flavors of dark, bitter cocoa with a little earthiness.

First third LM: Woodsy, toasted pine nut flavors. Bitter cocoa. Thick, creamy smoke.

First third MR: Mahogany/teak woodsy flavor, nuttiness... Like walnuts and bitter cocoa on the after taste. Razor sharp burn line. Nice flakey ash.

Second third LM: Toblerone melted on the dash chocolatey flavors. Very creamy. Burnt peanut. African grassroot on the after taste.

Second third MR: Very creamy, chocolate truffle flavors. Chocolate mousse. A little earthiness. I had a section that didn't burn well, but it corrected itself nicely.

Final third LM: Same as the second third.

Final third MR: Same as the second third, but I got a very slight raisin taste.

Overall impressions

LM: I would highly recommend this cigar. I would recommend it to a serious cigar smoker.

MR: I was impressed. I can't believe I smoked a Mac, but this was a damn good cigar. The most chocolatey cigar I've ever smoked. I would definitely recommend this cigar.

Score: 90/100
