I have a couple first gen GoVee's. The range was pretty short. I might need to try the new ones.
As to bovida packs, yeah I got a tupperware, with a couple smaller tupperware containers inside. The small containers have distilled water, and between them are the packs to be recharged. It sits in a warm place (cabinet above the fridge) and recharges packs pretty quickly.
