Another Beads Question

So, I have a bunch of wood humidors and one tupperdor. I use the same hygrometer (not the same type, I mean the same one) in all of them. I use 70% beads in all of them. I use the same system (2 containers of beads, one partly moistened, one left dry) in all of them.

The wood humidors consistently show readings of 67-70%. The tupperdor, in which there are two wood boxes from RP Edges, mostly filled, consistently reads 75-77%. This is not a new thing; it has been going on for quite some time. It is not a case of sticks that were too wet and haven't had time to dry out. Also, the container of beads that never gets moistened also never changes color from pure white.

Anybody got any ideas on what's up with that?

TIA.
