Question To those with experience with high-end humidors

In terms of longevity and keeping cigars well humidified, is there a major difference between a high-end humidor like Ashton (formerly Manning) and a mid-range humidor like Diamond Crown or Daniel Marshall? I ask because I came across an Ashton display today and was very impressed by the build quality. As much as I'd like a swank penthouse for my smokes, the price is a bit much. If something like Diamond Crown or Daniel Marshall is comparable in terms of longevity and solid storage, I'd rather go that route. If there is no comparison, I'll probably save up for an Ashton. Do you know if Ashton offers their slightly blemished models at discount?

I've seen the tendency here to urge people toward coolerdors, which is fine, but I really want a quality wood desktop. Also, the Chinese imports that are flooding the market aren't an option.
