Cigars are cracking - HELP

Ok, I bought some cigars and double bagged them and froze them. I thawed them out and put them in my humidor. one of them cracked about half an inch up from the foot while in the humi and the other one cracked half inch at both ends when I cut it and smoked it last night. is my freezing method do me in here? first time I froze them so i might have done something wrong. my question is what can I do about my other cigars? they have not cracked yet but I am afraid they will. will increasing the RH help prevent crackage in my other cigs? the other cigs are in cello so could it be that they are just too dry? the HR in my humi is 68%.

Thanks
