If it "never worked right", then it sounds like there is something wrong with yours specifically...Send it back and let them make it right..Kind of premature to make blanket statements such as the ones above unless you've owned more than ONE Xikar ...I own about seven or eight of them and every one of them have been a great cutter...I've had only excellent service from Xikar and will continue to patronage them
