Check Target, Walmart, Lowes and Home Depot. If you can't find a wine cellar in your price range at one of those places, there's a problem.

The thermostat's a good idea, but there are a bunch of wine coolers out there that will go high enough that you really shouldn't need it.

Word of warning though: when shopping, I'd bring along a notepad and simply window shop. Right down model numbers and do some research online. I haven't gotten sales people involved yet, but it can be hard to get all the info you want to know about one of these off the box at the store.
