Ruined humidor?

Hi board- I recently bought my first humidor only to have my room mates put a few of their flavored cigars in it after I finished the seasoning process. They had no idea what it would do, but the humidor now smells vaguely of peach. Is the humidor ruined, or is there a way to 'reset' it (for lack of a better word)? The cigars couldn't have been in there for more than 24 hours or so. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi, new guy.

I don't feel that you have a problem. It's not like they threw in a urinal cake or mothballs. That vague chemical smell that sort of smells like peaches will dissipate over a bit of time.

If you're really concerned about it or it doesn't go away, put your cigars in a ziploc for a few days, and put a plate with some baking soda in your humi. Should be fine in a few days.

Granted, you may be hypersensitive, and you may detect faint traces of it on your smokes.

De nada.

Once again, welcome to the place. Visit the smoking post, and start a thread introducing yourself, if you would.
