Doug, I know there are sessions and meetings we did not see or attend. Jeff has done that over the last few years. I think, perhaps, like the Catholic educators and librarians, this show may need MORE "breakout sessions," seminars, educational opportunities as well as a more concerted effort to unify the legislative and judicial aims and tactics to protect the industry.
Instead, the answer offered was a "CigarCon" day opening the show to the public. The organization, ostensibly, if FOR the retailers, it has been in the name of the organization until last year. But it makes its revenue from the manufacturers so there needs to be common ground between the two groups and the administration of the association. It's not happening, at least from what I read. It's a sad thing to watch as someone who dearly enjoys cigars, and wants to know more about them and the industry which provides them.
