CW20 Event Mansfield Ohio, Aug 25 & 26!

In conjunction with CW20 anniversary...

I would like to have an event here in Mansfield...

You have seen me talk about the local cigar store which is a pretty cool place , more than likely it is different than other you have been to... as the owner says , this place has spirit...

The cigar store is Suzy's Smokeroom , the store has been in the same building for 78 years now , always been a cigar place along with newspapers , magazines , sports etc.... the owners last name is Saprano you can guess the rest from the past...

What I have in mind ideally is a two day event (Fri/Sat)... Links to most places provided below...

Everything is within walking distance of the Holiday Inn downtown... when I say walking distance I mean three blocks , in reality from Suzy's 2 blocks , Holiday Inn is a block from Suzy's ...

Friday...

Breakfast at Holiday Inn...

Day trip ~3 hours to Shawshank/OSR which is only 7 minutes away by car (transportation will probably be provided)...

Then back to Suzy's for cigars/drinks (BYO , dinner at City Grille , then hang out at one of several places

Saturday ...

Breakfast at Holiday Inn...

Most of this day is open to whatever people might want to do , I can probably arrange for Golf at the local country club , possibly rides around historic Mid Ohio Sports Car Course depending on the weekend etc...

Afternoon at Suzy's , then dinner at Rocky's followed by a night at Suzy's with a band , probably a piano guy (been there for that , he is pretty good , and there will be 50-80 people come thru to watch)

Also on the list is one of the higher class bars in town Martinis (about 25 steps from Suzy's) , bourbon/scotch place...

Local Micro Brew : Phoenix Brewery...
Local coffee shop : Relax its just coffee
Local Pizza place : Two Cousins

The last two are literally across the street from Suzy's


If, we can arrange this on a final Friday of a month there are concerts in the Brickyard...

There is also the the Richland Carrousel Park...

"Richland Carrousel Park opened in 1991 as the first new, hand-carved carrousel to be built and operated in the United States since the 1930's."

(the Carrousel is about 300 ft from Suzy's)

The only two July/August weekends that are off limits that I am aware of at this point are...

July 28-30th (Honda Indy 200 In town)
August 11-12 (Mid Ohio Challenge , NASCAR XFinity)

It doesn't appear the Tough Mudder people are here this year , If their schedule changes we might have to work around that for the hotel...

If I can get enough people , probably 10 or more , I can put together a package deal to include everything (excluding alcohol)


My guess is ~$500 for everything , I can get real numbers if there is enough (any) interest...
