I've been interested about them. As many of you know I've been working very hard at beating two bans in my area. I was put off about the ambassodor program - pay them more money to work.
That being said, they need numbers and they need money. That is the one thing we lack in our fight is money. In one ban - the council has passed a resolution that is going to the voters. Anything we do will be extreme grassroots. The only thing we have going for us is that anti-tobacco is not happy with the ban. It exempts casinos, limited bars, cigar shops and cigar bars. They even ran radio adds wanted the county executive to veto it. I would be surprised if they didn't get behind the bill and spend a couple hundred thousand dollars to get it passed. If the voters don't pass it - it will kill chances of any kind a ban for a very long time.
