RIP Otis Taylor
Otis Taylor, Len Dawson's most productive target, has joined Lenny on the other side. Drafted out of Prairie View A&M in 1965 he played his entire 10 year career with the Chiefs.
At 6' 3", 215 pounds he was the prototype big, physical wide receiver. He highlighted this in Super Bowl IV when Karl Kassulke of the Vikings tried to tackle him after a reception for a short gain. Taylor shrugged him off and ran for a 46 yard touchdown. I had the good fortune to meet him and play a round of golf with him in a Chiefs Alumni Golf Tournament over 30 years ago. He was a good natured, down to earth guy. Requiescat in Pace, Otis. ![]()
