Tour de France
Well, the prologue is in the books.
Brad McGee from Australia, the world track champion, took the time-trial stage with a time of seven minutes, twenty-six seconds, actually about 7:26.18 over the 6.5 kilometer (4.225 mile) course. Brad McGee is one of the few Australians to ever wear the Yellow Jersey. David Millar, his countryman, was on pace to beat him, and only lost by about two seconds due to a chain slip in the last thirty seconds of the stage. Lance Armstrong is in seventh place, about ten or eleven seconds behind. He earned this without really exerting himself. He let them know that he's here.
