Yes I'm sure you have composite, it's component you don't have. This is why it gets so confusing, ORV

No, it's not too cold out for a cigar.

Finally got around to looking at the owner's manual for the receiver, which recommended using coaxial (they didn't say why).

There is an argument in the audio world the optical cables have feedback in the wire that causes signal alteration. I have messed with HT stuff for years and can tell you that unless you are an audio or HT nut, you won't be able to tell a difference unless you have top shelf equipment (and even then it is debateable).

I would just use coaxial for audio and for video, as mentioned before, it depends on what connections your TV has. From worst to best it goes 1)Composite (single RCA connector type run) 2)S video 3)Component (3 rca type runs).

Thanks.

Don't have COMPONENT on TV, so will have to stick with S-Video.

Will use the Coaxial for Audio, based on all the help, and the owner's manual recommendation.

But the main thing I wanted to say is Whoo Hoo, it's out for delivery.

"Hey, all the way.
Airborne leads the way!"
