Long-term storage

All right....call me obsessive but I would like to know if anybody has ever thought of or used a vacuum storage bags for their beloved smokes? I have a large cabinet humidor and plan on some long-term storage. I was in a meeting with a real Havanaphile yesterday and he indicates that he places his boxes in Ziplocs and then puts them in the Humi. He has met MRN and apparently MRN does the same. The thought being....Oxygen speeds the aging process along and destroys/ages the smoke. The longer they are in a "restricted" air space the slower the process and the better the smoke. So I thought about getting one of those food savers to vacuum pack them. I also looked at shrink wrapping but the food saver seems easier. Finally, I can just blow off this entire theory and smoke-em.

What say ye???
